Cutting & Machine Tools
Solid Carbide Endmills
Solid carbide End Mills are used for making shapes and holes in a workpiece during milling, profiling, contouring, slotting, counterboring, drilling and reaming applications. They are designed with cutting teeth on the face and edge of the body and can be used to cut a variety of materials in several directions.
Solid Carbide Ball Endmills
Solid carbide Ball end mills, also known as ball nose end mills, are used for milling contoured surfaces, slotting and pocketing. A ball end mill is constructed of a round cutting edge and used in the machining of dies and molds.
Threadmills
Threadmills are cutters used in CNC milling machines to cut internal and external threads using machining solutions called “thread milling.” The other threading process for CNC Mills is Tapping. On lathes, single point threading (turned threads) and taps are used.
Turning & Milling Tools
Turning tools are used on lathes for cutting or finishing the outside diameter of a workpiece. Turning tools can be used to produce cylindrical parts. In its basic form, turning can be defined as the machining of an external surface with the workpiece rotating, or with a single-point cutting tool.
Drilling
Drilling is a cutting process that uses a drill bit to cut a hole of circular cross-section in solid materials. The drill bit is usually a rotary cutting tool, often multi-point. The bit is pressed against the work-piece and rotated at rates from hundreds to thousands of revolutions per minute.
Threading
Threading Taps and dies are cutting tools used to create threads on components such as screws, bolts, nuts and to create a threaded hole to screw components into. A tap is a threaded tool that cuts or forms threads in the female portion of a mating pair. Therefore, a tap will create threads in the inside of a hole.
Deburring
Deburring is an important procedure because it helps remove unwanted protrusions and small ridges from tools and components to maintain their quality. Deburring is a helpful technique to use after machining or welding operations to produce a reliable, smooth metal piece
Machine Tools
Machine Tools "Tool holder" is a general term for the adapters used to mount the cutting tools in the machine-tool equipment that performs these operations. Tool holders influence the machining accuracy of machine tools and even product quality, so they demand high precision for which not even microscopic error is permitted.
